Hancock Timber Resource Group has a long history of providing high quality forest management to our clients. We believe environmental stewardship is at the core of our business and that sustainable forest management enhances overall returns and reduces risks for our clients.
Hancock Forest Management (HFM) and HFM New Zealand (HFM NZ) are wholly owned subsidiaries of Hancock Natural Resource Group and are integrated with Hancock Timber Resource Group. They are responsible for planning and implementation of forest management activities on a majority of our domestic and New Zealand properties. Qualified third party management companies or investor-owned property managers are used for property management activities in Australia, Chile and New Zealand.
Our forest management operations across the globe provide an extensive range of on-the-ground timberland management services through our forestry personnel. These services are now provided to 5.9 million (June 30, 2017) acres across the globe. Management activities are customized to fit the characteristics of each individual property. Our foresters have in depth knowledge of local timber markets and are experts in all aspects of sustainable forest management. Our client properties are third-party certified as sustainably managed.
